Overview
What is 3R
Products, Inc.? We are a company dedicated to providing
unique solutions to everyday problems.
Owned and
operated in Bloomington, Illinois, 3R Products
began when a family of professionals came together
to solve a problem: the safe and efficient loading
and unloading of cargo from a pickup truck bed.
For years, the Rousey family, founders of 3R
Products, have relied heavily upon pickup trucks
in their first business, USL Manufacturing, a manufacturer
of lighting fixtures for stadiums and arenas
throughout the country, located in Atlanta, Illinois.
Their solution was to design a truck tool to eliminate
the need to climb into the truck bed or reach
over the side, saving them time and reducing their
chance of injury. As the truck tool developed over
the years, the family realized that this problem
was shared by truck drivers everywhere. So, they
decided to bring Get-A-Grip: The Multi-Purpose
Truck Tool to consumers nationwide.
Today, 3R Products
is made up of a dynamic team of professionals
who work to provide quality products to consumers.
From conception to manufacturing to marketing,
3R Products continues its efforts to uphold the
strong family roots upon which the company was
founded. Following, please find more information
about our founders, as well as our business philosophy.

Quotes from our management:
“Get-A-Grip is the result of years of jumping
in and out of truck beds to load and unload cargo,” said
Matt Rousey, vice-president. “When we created
the first model of Get-A-Grip, it was mainly for
our own personal use – and ease. But after
we showed Get-A-Grip to a few friends who owned
trucks, we realized this problem wasn’t
just our own. We knew we had to offer
Get-A-Grip to truck drivers everywhere
not only to make life a little easier,
but a little safer too.”
“We are excited to be introducing Get-A-Grip
on a national level,” said Trent Rousey,
president. “We have been amazed at
the response Get-A-Grip has received from
retailers, buyers, friends, colleagues.”
“As a long-time business owner of USL Manufacturing
and 3R Products, I know how important it is to
offer customers more than just a product,” said
Tom Rousey, CEO. “They need everything that
goes with Get-A-Grip – quality, customer
service, honesty, and dedication to always providing
the best. At 3R Products, we are constantly making
sure that our products and interactions with customers
are held to the highest of standards. We wouldn’t
expect any less from the 3R Products team.”
“Get-A-Grip
was designed to
be a truck driver’s
right-hand – something they could easily
access and use to efficiently and safely
reach cargo in their truck bed,” said
Matt Rousey, vice-president. “Get-A-Grip
solves a problem for truck owners everywhere,
and it’s
generating a lot of excitement in the market.”
Our Business Philosophy
At 3R Products, we have
a passion for our business and our products.
We take pride in our company, and this
pride is reflected in the quality work we do.
Because of our deep dedication to our company,
our products, and each other, we have built 3R
Products, Inc. to uphold and emulate the following
business philosophy and approach.
We approach our business
and any tasks we take on with innovation,
integrity, and commitment – the
three hallmarks of our business. We are committed
to attracting good people to work with us, and
we expect those who work with us to embrace these
same values. We know and understand that a business
cannot be “good” on its own virtue – it
is only as good as the people who work there.
We strongly believe our entire team upholds
and emanates our business philosophies.
Product Quality
Product quality is of extreme importance.
We strive, unrelentingly, to pursue excellence
for our customers, adapting as technology changes
in order to uphold our high-quality standards.
Our goal is to go beyond customer satisfaction
to achieve customer enthusiasm.
Leadership
Our future success
depends on our leadership. All key people work
for continuous improvement with a sense of
urgency, a desire to learn, an openness to
changes, and a willingness to take risks that
are consistent with our core beliefs and competencies,
and these beliefs are instilled in all team
members.
Teamwork and Commitment
In addition to individual accountability, teamwork
and commitment are highly-valued characteristics.
They are essential in moving our company forward
to accomplish our goals and uphold our values.
We believe in team decision-making, allowing for
open discussion in matters related to our core
business.
Growth
We seek growth that is consistent with our core
beliefs and capacity. We believe that healthy companies
primarily grow internally but are open to acquisition.
We are constantly monitoring current trends, as
well as potential future trends, in order to prepare
for growth opportunities.
